Dryas: Design for systemic lighting products

Synopsis: The study presents an opportunity for the business fabric and the arts to transform. In the light of new developments, the introduction of creative processes in design in companies and in the performing arts sector proves to be an answer for the effective improvement of the shows produced and of business competitiveness.

PAT.Tech IPVC: Wicla

Coordination: Ermanno Aparo, Liliana Soares

Partnerships: IPVC, AMORIM Isolamentos, RODI, Ciclos Terra, QBrothers, Irmãos Jácome,  AAPCDM Viana do Castelo, Ruedas Electricas.

​

Synopsis: WICLA is an inclusive urban mobility concept for various types of users. The project is based on a tricycle with electrically assisted pedaling, characterized by a frame, handlebars, wooden fork axles and cork saddle.

PAT-Tech IPVC: Shatron Mute

Coordination: Liliana Soares, Ermanno Aparo

Partnerships: IPVC, DCB, Carpintaria Rocha, Móveis Aja, Musicork, Pontodevista Audiovisuais.

​

Synopsis: This mute is the result of an investigation focused on the reuse of wood scraps from the furniture industry and the use of production using 3D printers.
The project develops a system of sound modulators for wind instruments from the flexible brass family, with its configuration able to follow the user's needs. (The Shatron project won the A’ Design Award in the Musical Instruments category).

MUSAE: the story of a creative process in three acts

Coordination: Liliana Soares

Partnerships: IPVC, Furnor Lda, ARTEAM, Ponto de Vista Audiovisuais.

​

Synopsis: The embryo MUSAE project envisioned the production of a documentary as a fundamental tool for contributing to and improving a process of cooperation between different areas that make a social and sustainable commitment to development. (the Deithy lamp, developed as part of the project, won the Muse Design Award in the Lighting Design category).
